Team Needs

Team Needs:   CB   DE   C   OT   ILB   DT   OLB
The Skinny: With Derrick Mason playing the Brett Favre game again in regards to retirement, the Ravens need to look towards the future at WR. Even if Mason comes back, he's 36 years old and can't keep playing forever. The Ravens, seemingly more than any team in the league, would greatly benefit from a #1 WR. They've also battled injuries in the secondary, and are pretty thin at the cornerback position. I would not expect Samari Rolle to be back, and even with a healthy Fabian Washington, this is a position in need of an upgrade. The Ravens should be looking for C Matt Birk's eventual replacement in the near future as well.
4/15 Update: Mason did indeed re-sign, and the Ravens further bolstered their WR corps by trading for Anquan Boldin and signing Donte Stallworth out of the Penal League. Rolle was cut, and CB is still a glaring weakness for this team. The Ravens also lost DEs Dwan Edwards and Justin Bannan to FA.

Mock Draft

1 -25. DT Jared Odrick, Penn St.
The Skinny: The Penn State product could play multiple positions along the defensive line, including defensive end in a 3-4, a position the Ravens will be looking to address with their first pick in the draft.

2 -25. CB Perrish Cox, Oklahoma St.
The Skinny: Baltimore addressed the glaring need at wide receiver with the signing of Anquan Boldin. They addressed another top need in the first round by taking a defensive end, now they can focus on the defensive backfield in the second round.
