Green Bay Packers

  • Conference: NFC
  • Division: North
  • Defense: 3-4

Team Needs

Team Needs:   OT   CB   OG   OLB   ILB   SS   WR
The Skinny: Chad Clifton and Mark Tauscher are getting up there in years, and one or both may not be back next season. As we saw early on in 2009 when both were out, the Packers have little quality depth at the tackle spot behind these two vets, and it's something they need to address if they want to keep Aaron Rodgers alive long enough to fulfill his potential. The playoff loss to the Cards also exposed the fact that behind Charles Woodson, Tramon Williams and the injured and aging Al Harris, the Packers are very thin in the secondary. Darren Colledge is a solid guard who may not be back with the team in '10, and lining up depth on the OL is never a bad idea.
4/15 Update: The only major change in Green Bay is the loss of Aaron Kampman, who signed with Jacksonville. Kampman is a good player, but did not fit Dom Capers 3-4 scheme so it's not a huge game changer.

Mock Draft

1 -23. OT Bruce Campbell, Maryland
The Skinny: The Packers need help on the offensive line and Campbell is the perfect physical specimen with whom to work. If he doesn't work out at tackle, they could always move him to guard.

2 -24. CB Devin McCourty, Rutgers
The Skinny: With a wealth of potential corners that could go in the first two rounds, one should be around when the Packers pick again in the second round.
