Team Needs

Team Needs:   DE   WR   CB   OG   OC   FS   DT
The Skinny: The Jags have been looking for a pass rusher at the DE spot seemingly forever. They thought they had it in Derrick Harvey, but a paltry 5.5 sacks in two years is not cutting it. Jacksonville ranked dead last in the league in sacks. Mike Sims-Walker appears to have a promising future at WR and Torry Holt is a decent stopgap measure, but the Jags would like to start adding young talented pass catchers to their roster. The corner spot was dominated for a longtime by Rashean Mathis, but age and injuries appear to be catching up to him. The Jags also did well to address both OT spots in last year's draft, but the interior of the line could use a makeover.
4/15 Update: The Jags signed Aaron Kampman, which is a huge get for them, but the DE spot is still weak. They also signed WR Kassim Osgood from San Diego and parted ways with Torry Holt and DT Rob Meier.

Mock Draft

1 -10. DE Derrick Morgan, Georgia Tech
The Skinny: The Jags need someone to rush the passer; they were worst in the league with only 14 sacks a season ago. You have to assume they will address that need with their first pick. Morgan is arguably the best 4-3 rush end in the draft. Dez Bryant could also be an option here.
