As soon as news of Michael Floyd's third alcohol related arrest and subsequent suspension hit the papers, speculation has run rampant that Floyd could skip his senior year and either enter the NFL Supplemental Draft or the CFL.
There has been no indication from Floyd that he won't try to return to the Irish this fall. Given the circumstances, cleaning his act up and sticking around is probably his best option. However, he would be an intriguing option if he does decide to leave.
"The Vikings might be able to get him for a middle-round pick...Floyd, who has been indefinitely suspended by Notre Dame, could be a replacement for Sidney Rice if he's lost via free agency," writes Charley Walters of the Pioneer Press.
Even though he would of arguably been one of the top three receivers taken in this year's NFL Draft, I'm not sure how many teams will be willing to take a chance on him right now. He could slide if he entered the supplemental draft, making him more attractive to teams in need of wide receiver help.
