Clemson defensive end Da'Quan Bowers did not workout at the NFL Scouting Combine after having arthroscopic surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee in January.

But he did workout for scouts on Friday. Bowers was timed in the 4.9 second range in the 40-yard dash and as expected, struggled with conditioning a bit, according to most reports. "It's satisfying but there's a little sour taste," Bowers said. "I could have done better on a lot of stuff. I knew my burst would be a question. They (the scouts) just wanted to see me push through."

"If you loved him on tape, you're still gonna love the kid," said NFL Network's Mike Mayock said about Bowers on Path to the Draft after his workout. "(But) medical's a big a deal. And there are still questions about his knee. He had surgery on January 4th and he fatigued during position drills and his measurables were not what Da'Quan Bowers wanted to see."

Bowers workout may have hurt his draft stock. Some have already been questioning whether he would of had the year he did without the players around him. Now his knee is concern.

However, you do have to give Bowers points for battling through the injury and trying to prove himself on the field.
