Lions: Trade rumors are "premature"

Talking to the media at the NFL Scouting Combine, Detroit Lions coach Jim Schwartz said any talk of trading the number two pick would be “way premature."  Though he did acknowledge that they would be "open to just about everything."

There is no question the Lions could use the extra picks received from trading down, and there is no question they are talking to other teams about doing just that. It is often difficult to trade high draft picks, but trade speculation is one of the main attractions before the draft.
