Texas quarterback Colt McCoy threw for scouts on Wednesday and opinions on his workout vary. The Dallas Morning News reports that "he threw 55 passes and none touched the turf."
Green Bay coach Mike McCarthy said he thought McCoy's workout was more impressive than Oklahoma's Sam Bradford. "I thought Colt's workout was more challenging. He had the more down the field, driving type throws, which personally, I always look for because I think you get more information out of those," McCarthy said.
But Russ Lande of the Sporting News was critical of McCoy's workout stating that he "again showed limited arm strength and confirmed our concerns that he will not be able to complete the 15- to 20-yard passes with zip."
