North Carolina defensive tackle Marvin Austin, along with defensive end Robert Quinn and wide receiver Greg Little are officially out for the season as a result of the continuing NCAA probe in Chapel Hill. Cornerback Kendric Burney and safety Deunta Williams were also suspended as part of the probe. Williams returned from suspension against Clemson and Burney is expected to be back against Virginia.
Odd verbiage, as Austin has been dismissed, while Quinn and Little are "permanently ineligible." All involved were considered top prospects in the 2011 NFL Draft.
