Oregon State defensive tackle Stephen Paea will have surgery to repair the lateral meniscus in his right knee. Pea hurt the knee during practice at the Senior Bowl.

"I hurt it on the second play of practice. They said I sprained it," Paea told the National Football Post. "It sucks, but I'll be back as soon as possible. I'll get back to work and get back on the field. It could have been a lot worse."

Suffering an injury during workouts or an exhibition game before the NFL Draft is a player's worse nightmare.

Paea's average mock draft position is currently 17, putting him firmly in the first round. Hopefully the injury doesn't cost him on draft day.
