Many have commented on Michigan State linebacker Greg Jones' struggles in pass coverage in practices at the Senior Bowl this week, but finally we have some positive reports.

"Michigan State linebacker Greg Jones stood out against the run game in practice," NFL.com's Bucky Brooks wrote on Wednesday. "He quickly attacks the line of scrimmage after reading the run and is an aggressive thumper in the hole. He repeatedly stopped runners in their tracks during an 11-on-11 period, and his willingness to throw his body around was impressive. Although his cover skills are still in question, Jones is a legit "Mike" linebacker with the skills to be an instant starter in a 4-3 system."

Based on the last few updates, you can paint a pretty good picture of Jones' skill set. He's an aggressive linebacker with a nose for the football and a sure tackler. He has good quickness, but not top end speed. He does struggle a bit in pass coverage and can get "caught in the wash" at times when engaged. We view him as a second or third round pick.
