Florida State quarterback Christian Ponder and receiver Leonard Hankerson led the South team to victory in Saturday's Senior Bowl.

Ponder completed 7-of-13 passes for 132 yards and two scores. "I thought I definitely ended on a good note and hopefully my draft status has gone up a little bit," said the game's MVP.

Ponder's favorite target was Hankerson. The pair connected on a 18-yard scoring strike and later connected again on a 48-yard pass. Hankerson finished with five catches for 100-yards and a score.

Hankerson is our top rated senior receiver and looked every bit the part of a late first round or second round selection with several outstanding grabs.

Ponder, showed no ill effects surgery to the elbow on his throwing arm last fall. With a strong performance at the NFL Scouting Combine he could solidify his status as one of the top tier 2 quarterbacks, behind Blaine Gabbert, Ryan Mallett, Cam Newton and Jake Locker.
