South Carolina tight end Weslye Saunders is currently ineligible for the 2011 NFL Draft. Saunders did not file the necessary paperwork for underclassman in time. Saunders is appealing the decision.
This is a tricky issue as Saunders was suspended for his senior season because last summers "agent gate". Technically Saunders has a year left of eligibility.
Seems like a oversight the NFL could and should easily correct. The question is will they? If not Saunders will have to enter the supplemental draft in July.
