There is a reason why Alabama's defense was one of the top units in the country the last two seasons and Rolando McClain is one of the biggest. He controlled the middle of the Tide's defense for the past three seasons. He started started 14 games in each of the last two seasons and five in 2007. At 6-foot-3 and 254-pounds he's a big linebacker. An inside linebacker in Alabama's 3-4 scheme, but he could easily be a middle linebacker in a 4-3. He is more of an engulfing tackler than a heavy hitter.
